We travel to Loxwood where we had a win last season but it will be another tough away game against a team currently in seventh in the table while we sit in fourteenth but still having played a game less. Loxwood had a run out in midweek in the Peter Bentley Cup while we await a date for our cup visit to Forest Row. After a good start to the season, including joining us in the FA Cup Preliminary Round after a replay, they lost on their visit to Margate and then lost at Kennington in the FA Vase. Petersfield Town earned a draw on their visit and Loxwood lost by the odd goal in five on their visit to our neighbours Crawley Down Gatwick in the league. Haywards Heath Town visited in the cup and left with a 3-0 win. In our last match against table toppers Peacehaven & Telscombe we were missing a few players but battled well until the 68th minute when a mishit cross found our net. A flat Peacehaven were energised by the goal and ran in two more before the final whistle. If we can show the same resilience and add a bit of threat going forward we can take something from the game.
