When this fixture came up in early February the Whyteleafe ground was not available so it was moved the Loxwood's tree lined ground. The wet weather at the time saw the match postponed and rescheduled for a Tuesday evening nearly a month later. By this time the rain had given way to frosty nights and the trees shading the southern end of the pitch meant the ground was frozen and the match abandoned at half time when it should never have started. The draw for the semi-finals of the FA Vase has given AFC Whyteleafe home advantage in Saturday's first leg so their ground is not available. To give ourselves and our supporters a shorter journey the match will be held at Three Bridges FC.
This Saturday is a round of catch up games for teams that are a match behind and will see other teams in the bottom five in action. Besides ourselves and Loxwood, Little Common and Saltdean United with be playing. Our game against Loxwood starts a run of big games for us that will decide our season as a Friday evening game hosting Shoreham comes next followed by a first trip to Wick. Tough home games against Eastbourne United and Crowborough Athletic follow with a final trip to Horsham YMCA.
At the other end of the table the top two go head to head as Hassocks host Crowborough Athletic where a win for the home side we see the celebrations start as they will be champions with five games to spare. Crowborough are nicely placed for the play offs at the head of six teams battling for the four places.
