The SCFL keep a spreadsheet that tots up all the cards that teams receive during a two month period and the lowest points total wins the Respect Award for that period for their division. The totals for the whole season decide who wins the season's award for good behaviour. Given these two months cover a good period of results for the team as well makes it even more pleasing. It was not that long ago that we had been on the naughty step over cards received and there is a fine for receiving a yellow or red card. Accumulating a bunch of yellow cards over games earns a player a match ban and a red card results in ban of varying length depending on the reason it was shown.
The award was presented to Dan Burnett and the team at full time of the match at Roffey last Saturday by the SCFL.
