Next 'home' game is staged at Loxwood and a win for The Lingers

Whyteleafe is unavailable this Friday so we play at Loxwood on Saturday

The ground at Whyteleafe is in use this Friday evening and with the league not permitting us to postpone the fixture we are grateful to Loxwood for offering to host the fixture at their ground. Moving the game back a week was not an option either as while we have a weekend off, Loxwood visit Haywards Heath Town - our next Friday evening visitors.

We finally got to play the one team we have yet to play this season tonight as we visited Shoreham. A good night it was too as Ousmane Balde Dansoko opened the scoring just before half time. Shoreham pulled a goal back but a penalty from Conor Wilford and a third from Keanan Allassani wrapped up our fifth win of the season. The win finally moved us up the table to seventeenth place above our next opponents Loxwood by two points although having played two games more.

With a number of games this evening it was a good night for us compared to those around us. Bottom club Little Common lost 1-2 to our neighbours Crawley Down Gatwick and are twelve points below with three games in hand. Saltdean United were held to a goalless draw at home to Petersfield Town and are now eight point below us with two games in hand. Our hosts Shoreham are are above us on goal difference by a single goal and have played two games fewer. Wick are on the same points but two goals better off than us and with a game in hand. Pagham were pleased to grab a late equaliser at Haywards Heath Town to sit a point above our group of three in fourteenth place.

A big weekend ahead as while Pagham visit Bexhill United, the six teams below them play amongst ourselves as Saltdean host Shoreham and Little Common visit Wick. We go into our game at Loxwood in good form as in the 6 game form table there are only two teams unbeaten. Crawley Down are one and top the form table but in sixth place is the other team - Lingfield!!
