Our Youth FC Chairman Paul Bashford has set up this project to improve the facilities for the youth teams and to help bring in the funds for the club's contribution he has set up a GoFundMe page here. Paul has provided a description of this project on that page and here it is:
The Project:
We would like to raise sufficient funds to purchase a number of battery powered portable lights that we can use on our grounds for training, especially as the light starts to dwindle in the early evenings.
We feel it is important that our youth members have the opportunity to continue to train on grass for as long as possible on days that suit teams but not only that, it potentially could reduce the overall hiring costs to the club, where those funds can be used on further equipment for the children.
The project alone has a cost in excess of £17,000. We intend to apply for grants to cover part of the total cost, up-to 50% or better! We just need to find that additional funding asap.
Lingfield Youth would greatly appreciate any help that you can provide to get us to the target goal of £7,000.
If there are local companies that want to help on a larger scale of donation, we’d be very happy to hear from you and assist with any promotional advertising we can do at our grounds to show off your support. As they say ‘many hands make light work of big problems/challenges’.
