Our match secretary's head has been spinning with all the recent fixture clashes and rescheduling so it will be a relief to finally play our FA Vase match against Billingshurst and tick one match off. We were due to play Dorking Wanderers in the Surrey Senior Cup but that will now be some time in December as Dorking are booked out through next month. The U23s were due to play their Surrey Saturday Cup fixture against Croydon on Wednesday but this has been postponed and the Young Lingers will be taking on our hosts Oakwood instead although this might be moved the Thursday.

Billingshurst are back up to second in Division 1 after a win at Montpelier Villa. Not too surprising as the home side have yet to get a point on the board so far. Our lads put in a good performance on one of toughest trips of the season although we returned empty handed.
At least we know who the winners of the tie will face in the next round on 9 November as a fourth SCFL team still in the competition. Tough opposition awaits in a trip to SECFL side Faversham Town currently in second place in the Premier Division.
